Your home uses solar energy generated before switching back to draw from the grid, if needed.

Who is Solaroo?
Solaroo is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pekat Group Berhad, listed on Bursa Malaysia, with over 27 years of engineering expertise in solar and lightning protection.
Are Solaroo PV systems safe?
Yes. We use microinverter systems with lower DC voltage for enhanced safety. Solar PV technology has been proven reliable for over 20 years.
Will my solar generation be the same every month?
No. Generation depends on sunlight and weather conditions. Savings also vary based on your electricity usage. Our proposals are based on average annual estimates.
Can I install more solar panels in the future?
Yes. Our modular microinverter system allows you to expand later, subject to roof space and usage needs.
Can I move my solar PV system if I relocate?
It is recommended to sell the existing solar PV system together with the house, as it adds value to the property. While relocation is possible, it can be complex and may involve dismantling risks or potential material damage. Relocation also incurs additional costs for removal, reinstallation, and testing.
What if my roof leaks after installation?
Leakage is rare as checks are done before installation. If any damage is caused by our installation and within the defect liability period, we will repair it.
Will solar work during a blackout?
No. For safety reasons, grid-connected PV systems automatically shut down during a power outage.
Do I need a battery?
Under Solar ATAP in Malaysia, a battery is optional but helps maximise savings. Without a battery, excess solar energy is still exported to TNB, but it only offsets the energy charge within the same month. A battery offers higher savings by storing daytime energy for night.
Is my roof suitable for solar?
Most roofs that are in good condition are suitable. Our team will conduct a site assessment to confirm structural compatibility before any installation.
